A Look Back in Company History

1993
IBT Ingenieur Büro Thiermann GmbH was formed by Dipl. Ing. Luz Thiermann. The company concentrated on engineering consultation and the international distribution of precision tools around the milling and cutting techniques range. Product lines are Precision Broaches from Hassay Savage, Clamping Systems from Mitee Bite PowerClamp and  Modular Cooling Hose Systems from Loc-Line Flexi.

1996
Enlargement of the product line with Hand Deburring Tools from GRAT TEC. The patented tools have been included in the line for their unbeatable cost/performance ratio. IBT becomes Master Distributor Worldwide of GRAT TEC Products.

2000
IBT Ingenieurbüro Thiermann GmbH is authorized supplier of almost all important german trading firms offering precision tools. The following client list is representative, but not inclusive. EDE Einkaufsverband Deutscher Eisenhändler, Halder, Heinrich Kipp, Hommel Hercules Werkzeughandel, Imatec Handelsgruppe, NordWest Handel, Norelem Normelemente, Precitool, Sartorius Nachf., Wollschläger and more.

2003
IBT is shipping to more than 27 countries around the world.

2006
Boris Vorbach becomes member of the Board of Management.

2007
Jan Schmidt is strengthening the team as "Central Contact Person Technology" to increase our support efforts.

2008
IBT Ingenieurbüro Thiermann GmbH welcomes its 1350th client.
